Toy DriveThe Neighbors Helping Neighbors 2016 Toy Drive is underway! ABA and NHN are asking for your contributions to help make this Holiday Season special for your neighbors in need. All contributions of a new unwrapped toy that you drop into one of our Neighbors Helping Neighbors bins will go directly to help  make the Holiday special for a member of our Aston Community that is in need this season.

Drop bins will only be available at the following locations through December 10th, so get out there and fill those bins!

Aston Township Announces 2nd Annual Holiday Decorating Contest!

holiday-iconThe Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee along with the Aston Township Board of Commissioners, are happy to announce the Second Annual Aston Township Holiday Decorating Contest!

The contest will be open to all residences and businesses within Aston Township.  We are asking participants to join in the fun this holiday season throughout the month of December with final judging completed by December 16, 2016.

Businesses will be required to register their intent to participate. Registration form and online registration is available at AstonTownship.net

An Evening of Hope: Standing Strong 4 a Cure, promises to be a true celebration of the community support in V. Michael Fulginiti’s and many others’ fight against ALS. Dinner will be provided by Marino’s catering and music by the band Mike Davis and the Bullets.

Open ABA Event: Using Video to Grow Your Business

Sun Valley NHS Assists Aston’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors Outreach Program

Members of the Sun Valley High School National Honor Society (NHS), in conjunction with Coebourn Elementary School students collected more than 600 pounds of canned goods which was donated to Aston Township’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors food pantry program.

“We are very grateful for everything the students have done to assist our program and help our needy residents,” said program coordinator Maggie Berry. “It is really great to see these young people bring awareness to the plight of those less fortunate. Neighbors Helping Neighbors is about our community members taking care of each other.”

The NHS organized the drive within the high school and the top three homerooms won a free breakfast. The winners included the homerooms of teachers Joseph Kochersperger, Scott Taylor and Amy Grady.Read More
